Putting yourself outside of your comfort zone is a great way to build confidence. Building your self-esteem, on the other hand, can be better achieved by doing the opposite. By sticking to things you enjoy doing; you will be able to slowly build up your self-esteem. Do sports and activities that you are good at. Hang around friends that you enjoy spending time with and do other things that you like doing. By focusing on these things, you will ensure that you are having a positive experience throughout your day. This will help translate into more confidence when you need it most.
Understand That It Is Okay To Be Less Than Perfect
You don’t have to be perfect. By putting a lot of pressure on yourself, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. Accept that it is okay to finish second sometimes.
